Tronic Insect Killer 80 Watts Mosquito Zapper

Our review

This Tronic unit is a plug-in style flying insect killer rated at 80 watts, designed so that mosquitoes and other airborne insects are electrocuted the moment they touch its electrified element. The housing is made from fireproof ABS, and Tronic states it produces no offensive odour, is non-toxic, and is safe around humans, which matters if you plan to use it indoors where children or food are present.
It suits households, guesthouses, or small food premises dealing with evening mosquito activity, especially where sprays and coils are unwanted. Before buying, think about the size of the room you need to cover, since an 80-watt unit is generally aimed at a single room rather than a whole house, and check how you will mount or place it near a power point. Compare it with chemical repellents, which protect people directly but need repeat use, and with lower-wattage zappers that may draw fewer insects. Also weigh the running cost of leaving it on through the night against occasional use. It is available on Sokonia.
