Tronic Onload Enclosed Manual Changeover Switch 315A 4 Pole CO 4315-EC

Our review

This is a manually operated on-load changeover switch rated at 315A, built with four poles and mounted inside a metal enclosure. It is the kind of gear an electrician reaches for when a building or plant needs to move its supply between two sources, such as mains and a generator, while the connected equipment keeps running rather than being shut down first. It suits industrial and commercial installations where the load is heavy and an interruption is costly, not a small domestic setup. Before buying, confirm your supply current and whether your system is three-phase plus neutral, since the pole count and rating have to match your wiring and cable sizes. Also check the enclosure will fit your panel or wall space and that your electrician is comfortable with a manual, rather than automatic, transfer. Compared with smaller changeover switches or automatic transfer switches, this unit is about higher current capacity and hands-on control, so weigh that against the convenience of an automatic system.
