Tronic Purple LED 2W E27 Screw Bulb

Our review

This is a low-wattage LED bulb from Tronic, rated at 2 watts and fitted with an E27 screw base. It gives off purple light rather than white, so it is best treated as a decorative or accent lamp rather than general room lighting. It suits someone lighting a small feature, a child's room detail, a party corner, or a fixture where a coloured glow is wanted. Before buying, check that your fitting takes an E27 screw cap and that 2 watts gives the brightness you expect for the spot. Compared with incandescent or fluorescent options, LED bulbs like this use at least 75% less energy and last considerably longer, which cuts running and replacement costs. It is available on Sokonia.
