Tronic Television Guard EU Type

Our review

The Tronic Television Guard EU Type is a voltage protection device that sits between your television and the mains supply. When the incoming power moves above or below a level it considers acceptable, it disconnects the TV, which is the moment that matters most: fluctuations are what typically harm electrical and electronic equipment. It suits households or offices where the supply is unstable, or where a TV is expensive enough that a small protective accessory makes sense. Before buying, confirm the plug and socket type match your setup, since this is listed as an EU type, and check that its rating covers your television. Compare it with surge protectors and voltage stabilisers: a surge protector mainly handles spikes, while a stabiliser regulates voltage continuously. This guard simply cuts the connection when levels are unacceptable, so think about whether you want disconnection or regulation. No specifications are listed, so ask the seller on Sokonia about compatibility if you are unsure.
