Tronic Waterproof 13A Single Socket, IP65 Grey PVC
TSh 46,500
Our review
This is a single 13-amp socket from Tronic, built in grey PVC and rated IP65, which means it is sealed against dust and against water sprayed from a nozzle. It runs on AC 220 to 240 volts and measures 90mm by 90mm, so it is a compact square unit rather than a wide plate. It suits outdoor points, workshops, gardens, laundry areas, or any indoor spot where damp or dust is a real problem. Before buying, confirm the mounting box and cable entry suit a 90mm square fitting, and check that your circuit and wiring can carry 13 amps. Compare it with standard unsealed sockets, which cost less but offer no protection, and with metal-clad outdoor sockets, which resist impact better but can corrode. The one-year warranty is worth noting. Available on Sokonia.
