Tronic Twin Fluorescent Tube Fitting, T8, 1200mm, White Aluminium

Our review

This is a twin fluorescent tube fitting from Tronic, built around T8 lamps and sized at 1200mm, so it is the kind of fixture you would use where a long, even spread of light is needed rather than a single bright point. The body is white aluminium, and it runs on AC 220–240V, which matches typical Tanzanian mains supply. It is aimed at anyone replacing an ageing traditional fluorescent fitting, particularly in workshops, stores, corridors, kitchens or utility areas where the old unit has failed or become noisy. Because it takes two tubes, it suits spaces where you want more light output from one mounting position. Before buying, confirm your existing fitting is also 1200mm and uses T8 lamps, check that your wiring is 220–240V, and decide whether you want a twin rather than single unit. Compare against LED batten alternatives if lower running costs matter more to you than a like-for-like swap. The one-year warranty is worth noting. Available on Sokonia.
