Tronic Twin Waterproof Socket 13Amps TR Range

Our review

This is a twin 13A socket from Tronic's TR range, built for positions where moisture, dust or general damp would normally be a problem. The defining feature is the IP65 sealing: a cover closes over the socket and protects it from the elements, which is what separates it from an ordinary indoor outlet. It suits outdoor walls, workshops, garages, garden points, kitchens and bathrooms, or anywhere washing down and humidity are part of daily life. Before buying, confirm the mounting style and back box you already have, since the listing gives no dimensions or fixing details, and check that a 13A twin outlet matches the load you plan to run. Compare it with standard unsealed sockets and with other IP-rated options, weighing how exposed the location really is against how often you need to plug and unplug. If the spot stays dry, a plain socket may do; if it faces rain, hose spray or heavy condensation, the sealed cover is the reason to choose this one. Available on Sokonia.
