Panasonic MX-MG5321 700W Glass Jug Blender

Our review

This is a Panasonic countertop blender, model MX-MG5321, rated at 700W and fitted with a glass jug rather than plastic. Panasonic positions it around ice crushing and everyday blending, so it is aimed at households that want cold fruit desserts, vegetable and fruit smoothies, and simple meal prep without stepping up to a high-powered machine. The glass jug is the detail worth noticing: it resists scratching and staining better than plastic, and it will not pick up the smell of strong ingredients, but it is heavier to lift and pour, which matters if anyone in the house has weak wrists. The 700W motor is modest by modern standards, so expect it to handle ice in small batches with pauses rather than continuous heavy loads. Before buying, check the jug capacity and whether the blades and jug are removable for cleaning, since neither is stated here. Compare it with similar glass-jug blenders from other brands on motor rating, jug size and how easy the parts are to wash.
