Tronic 6mm 4 Core Flexible Submersible Cable, 100m

Our review

This is a 6mm four-core flexible cable from Tronic, made in Tanzania and built for submersible pump wiring, where a cable has to sit in wet conditions and still bend around a borehole without cracking. The conductors are 99.9% pure copper, which is the part that matters most for keeping voltage drop low over a long run, and the PVC insulation is what protects the copper once it is down the hole. The 100-metre length suits deeper installations or longer runs to a control box, so measure your actual depth and route before ordering rather than guessing. Four cores give you the live, neutral and earth plus a spare, which is common for pump control setups. Before buying, confirm the 6mm cross-section matches your pump's current draw and cable run, and check the insulation is rated for continuous immersion. Compare against stiffer armoured cable if your run is exposed or rocky, and against thinner 2.5mm or 4mm options if your pump is small and the run is short. It is available on Sokonia.
