These Tronic clips are the simple, old-fashioned answer to loose round cable. Each one cradles a run of coax or similar round wire and nails straight into wood, skirting or floorboards with a hammer, so the cable stays put instead of looping across the floor where someone can catch a foot on it. They suit anyone tidying a TV aerial feed, a router cable or a short outdoor run along a fence, and they are cheap enough to buy by the box. Before ordering, measure your cable's outer diameter and compare it with the 18mm size, because a clip that is too small will pinch the wire and one that is too large will let it slip. Also check whether your mounting surface takes a nail; masonry needs a different fixing entirely. Compared with adhesive clips, these hold far better on rough timber, though they do leave a small hole if you later remove them. Available on Sokonia.
