Tronic Surface Downlight Square 18W Warm White

Our review

This is a surface-mounted downlight from Tronic, square in shape and rated at 18 watts, with a warm white light output. Because it sits on the surface rather than being recessed, it is a practical choice where there is no ceiling void to cut into, such as concrete slabs or finished ceilings. The warm white tone suits living areas, bedrooms and corridors where a softer, more inviting light is wanted rather than a stark cool white. Before buying, check the dimensions of the fitting against your ceiling space, confirm the colour temperature matches other lights in the room, and think about whether 18 watts gives enough brightness for the area you have in mind. Compare it with recessed downlights if you have a void, and with cool white versions if the space needs task lighting.
